 Our
Mission Statement:
"The
North Dakota Nature and Rural Tourism Association is organized to increase
revenues in North Dakota through nature and rural tourism. It will do
this through the implementation and support of programs and policies
that do no harm to people or the environment."
Our Goals:
- Create a network
of knowledgeable people in rural and nature tourism.
- Develop a formal
process for sharing of information on guests and resources.
- Create a ND
inventory of resources including businesses, attractions, trails,
etc.
- Create educational
and certification opportunities for operators.
- Design and implement
a cooperative marketing system.
- Initiate and
support public policy that enhances tourism efforts.
- Create a state
wide web presence.
- Coordinate tourism
efforts across the state including the reservations.
- Create a set
of standards to insure high quality experiences.
- Broker affordable
insurance for member businesses.
- Be a venue for
information and education for members and general public.
- Lobby for pro
nature and ag-tourism legislation.
- Develop and implement
a proactive strategic plan for nature and tourism development in ND.
